Weekend 1 Assignment

The weekly storytelling assignments really grabbed my attention. Last semester I created my own gospel and was able to write creatively for the first time. I really enjoyed doing that so I am looking forward to these story opportunities. It also seems like I have quite a bit of creative freedom so I'm interested in where that will take the stories.

My name is Taylor Blackwell, and this is my introduction post. I am a Religious Studies major in my last semester. One of the coolest things about my major is that it is a unique way of learning about people. I am not religious myself, but religion tends to be the thing that determines how people live their lives. Week 7 Story: King Yudhisthira's Horse

Horse O' War: King Yudhisthira's Horse leading Arjuna into Battle The story that I am about to tell you is one that has yet to be told in its original context. By now you are well aware of the story of the moon-white horse with a plate of gold strapped to its head. You know, the one that the army of Arjuna followed for a year, conquering rajah after rajah? Well, there are several very important aspects of that story that all but a very few are unaware of.  For starters, it may seem that the horse had very little to do with the many victories that Arjuna experienced, for I am just a simple horse, wandering around the land.
